Who are you:

Ameliaa Artist, I'm 23 years old and I'm an environmentalist as I will be doing projects with Green Peace. I will also give a percentage of sales of my paintings to help the environment. I'm really passionate about nature!

Where are you from?

I was born in montreal , im orginally from Algeria

Whats on your playlist?

Bob Marley, Massive Attack, The XX, Can I check ? Haha! The Beatles, M83, James Blakes and Disclosure!

Who is your favorite artist?

Pablo Amaringo . His paintings are pretty cool and trippy he is my favourite artist for now.

What inspires you to be an artist?

I want to give positive energy/ feelings to people.

Whats your process of making art?

I want to give positive feelings to people when they see my art, thats why I do it, i'm also really inspired by animals and nature, but I really want to give positive vibes and happiness through my paintings.

Do you have a proccess? like something you do ritually?

Yeah I do, i'm very spiritual, I like to put incense, candles, good music, good playlists, depending on the vibe, usually when it's nice out I open up the garage door, I need to be in a good mood & no body can watch, not even my parents.

Asap Rocky

Do you have a favorite medium?

Acrylic, thats what i use the most, i've also used oil paint before but acrylic is my favorite.

How old were you when you wanted to pursue art?

Thats a good question. I started painting when I was 9 years old, but this is the first year i'm working as an artist for real. I didn't expect it to blow up that fast, but I exposed at Art Basel, and that really helped me to get a name.

Makeup or No Makeup?

No makeup usually haha.

Outside of art is there anything you want to do?

Acting. I really love acting.

Whats your favorite passtime?

Painting? Haha. Aside from painting I love yoga sports, hiking, anything with nature.

What should we be anticipating from you in 2016 and beyond?

Maybe a big Expo in Montreal, a lot of collabos with big artists, and the rest is secret.
